Most, if not, all of the foods you eat have been modified in some way. It's near impossible to eat purely organic foods all your life.
Although GMOs are "new", there have been GMOs that can fix hunger. We have created crops that can resist droughts and yield more product. There has also been no proof that GMOs are linked to cancer.
I'm not completely against GMOed foods, but I think that they should be tested more than they have been. The long term affects of eating GMOs haven't been observed because they are a new concept.
