He started off as a pacifist, then turned to terrorism to achieve his political goals.

Mandela should be viewed without rose coloured glasses and recognised for the murderous terrorist he was.

He signed off on the murder of innocent people, lots of them.

At his trial he pleaded guilty to well over 100 acts of public violence including mobilizing terrorist bombing campaigns, which planted bombs in public places such as Johannesburg railway station killing and maiming many.

Mandala's M.K. terrorists killed many innocent women and children.

He could have achieved is aspirations peacefully, which is what he did eventually.

His eventual triumph was greatly marred by his callous disregard for the lives of his fellow countrymen and women.

He never, like all terrorists, including the the so called Irish Republican Army, renounced violence.

If you've never had to live through the absolute nightmare of a bloody and indiscriminate terrorist campaign it would be easy to perceive such a conscienceless psychopathic killer as some sort of romantic liberator.

If, however, you had lived through 30 long years of daily terrorist atrocities in Northern Ireland as I did, I can assure that your perception of Mandela type ''liberators'' would very quickly change.

Mandela with his M.K. terrorists and the I.R.A., are no different than the terrorists of I.S.I.S.

How did you guys feel after the 'Twin Towers. atrocity?

Did you consider that such a barbaric act was carried out by 'liberators'?

I would think most Americans would not.

Once you condone the achievement of political aims through the armalite and not the ballot box than you've given a new generation of terrorists justification for their murderous activities, maybe the murders of your family and loved ones.
